Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya made two errors in his side's 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge - and Gunners fans inside the ground reacted.

Raya has started each of Arsenal's last five Premier League games, replacing Aaron Ramsdale between the sticks.

And the Spaniard has also started ahead of his goalkeeping rival in both Champions League matches so far this term.

Manager Mikel Arteta has stated on numerous occasions that he does not have a number one goalkeeper, but Raya is clearly in possession of the gloves at the moment following his summer loan move from Brentford.

But he endured a tough evening at Stamford Bridge. He was caught out of position by Mykhailo Mudryk, who produced a superb lob over the head of the Arsenal goalkeeper to give Chelsea a 2-0 lead.

And it almost got worse for Raya minutes later, when his attempted pass was intercepted by Cole Palmer.

Fortunately for the 28-year-old, though, he recovered to deny Palmer from getting a clear effort on goal.

And Raya watched on as his side came back from two goals down to level the scores. Declan Rice capitalised on an error from opposition goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to score, before Leandro Trossard volleyed in a cross at the back post.

And as per the Daily Mirror, Gunners fans inside the stadium were heard chanting Ramsdale's name after the errors made by his goalkeeping rival.

The England international was due to be in the matchday squad at Stamford Bridge, but was a late withdrawal after his wife gave birth to a baby boy.

Commenting on Ramsdale's absence, Arteta said: "Absolutely most beautiful reason in life and they happened yesterday, so they are both ok today."

Arsenal take on Sevilla in a crunch Champions League tie on Tuesday, with the identity of the starting goalkeeper on that evening perhaps telling as to which of Ramsdale or Raya holds the gloves in the coming weeks.
