Arsenal pair Aaron Ramsdale and William Saliba have got fans talking with their "shenanigans" as the Gunners boarded the plane for their pre-season tour in the United States.

After returning to pre-season and drawing 1-1 with German side Nurnberg, Mikel Arteta's men have jetted out across the pond to continue their preparations for the new campaign.

New signings Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice part of the 29-man squad on the flight but it was Ramsdale and Saliba who were the talk of the town on social media.

Arsenal took a picture with the pilots and cabin crew before they got on the plane and two of their stars were in a goofy mood.

Ramsdale, with his baseball cap on, saluted while the pilot and co-pilot as they made their way down the steps.

And Saliba, for reasons still unclear, started taking deep breaths and stood tall with his chest puffed out before putting his hands behind his back.

Many players were left in hysterics and though some rival supporters weren't having it, Arsenal fans on social media loved what they saw.

One wrote: "I don’t know who the funniest is: Ramsdale or Saliba?"

A second raved over the team spirit, writing: "The vibes right now are immaculate."

A third agreed, adding: "I love this club. These guys are the coolest on earth."

Another commented: "I really like the togetherness in this team."

A fifth noticed: "Saliba tapping Viera and Viera puffing his chest out is killing me."

A sixth user opined: "You can't just be unhappy in the midst of these lads."

Arsenal's first outing in the States sees them take on the MLS All-Stars, managed by Premier League legend and current D.C United boss Wayne Rooney.

They will then play Barcelona in Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium on 27 July before taking on Monaco in the annual Emirates Cup in the final fixture before the Community Shield against treble-winning Manchester City at Wembley on 6 August.
