Alisha Lehmann is poised to return to English football after a short spell at Como in Italy.
The Swiss, arguably the most popular female footballer in the world with 16 million followers on Instagram, turned out for West Ham, Everton and Aston Villa but made the move to Italy with Juventus as part of a double deal which saw then-partner Douglas Luiz sign for the Turin outfit.
She played a single season with Juventus, winning Serie A and then moved to Como, penning a three-year contract with the independent club until 2028.
However, Lehmann does not look set to see out the season with Como - with The Athletic reporting that she is on the verge of signing for Leicester City.

According to Megan Feringa, after being left out of Como's latest squad, Lehmann travelled to the Foxes' training ground on Wednesday and then trained with the first-team following two weeks of trying to get the deal done.
An agreement is likely to happen, with Lehmann expected to feature for Leicester against former club West Ham on Sunday.

Under manager Rick Passmoor, who was appointed permanently in October 2025, Leicester are ninth in the table with nine points from 12 games.
Lehmann, who has brand deals with the likes of PRIME, EA Sports FC and Tezenis, has failed to make a single start for Como - instead making a mere three substitute appearances.
Her return to England will likely make proceedings easier when it comes to the Baller League, where she is one of the managers alongside Love Island host and presenter Maya Jama.
For two seasons Lehmann has been in charge of MVPs United, who finished 12th out of 13 in the most recent campaign.
She has now been confirmed to be in a relationship with one of her players, former Love Island contestant Montel McKenzie.

The semi-professional footballer went public with his new beau on Instagram on Wednesday, wishing Lehmann a happy 27th birthday and sharing a series of snaps and videos of them together - including a couples' handshake.
