A young Ajax academy player has shocked players from the senior team as well as fans after showing off his skills on Thursday.

On Thursday night, Ajax welcomed second-tier side SC Telstaron to the Johan Cruyff Arena in the Dutch Cup.

The Dutch giants comfortably won the match 2-0, sealing their place in the thrid round of the competition.

However, the star of the match was not either of the goalscorers, as a young academy prospect stole the show with his impressive skills pre-match.

Ahead of the match, 11-year-old Zinedine Chaiat left first-team players and fans gobsmacked complete 2424 consecutive kick-ups, almost delaying the start of the match.

His skills were so impressive, that some members of the Ajax squad paused their warm ups to come and watch the youngster and congratulate him for his display.

Once Chaiat had finished his kick-ups, he was given a standing ovation from Ajax fans and was further praised by club staff as he made his way back down the dugout.

Reacting to footage of Chaiat, one supporter commented: "Loved absolutely every bit of this."

Another fan also wrote: "Man of the match. The only one."

While one fan noted: "It’s an impressive achievement, even more so at his age!"

Chaiat's impressice pre-match displayer appeared to inspire Ajax to victory as goals from former Premier League striker Chuba Akpom and Daniele Rugani secured a 2-0 victory for the Dutch giants.

With the win, Francesco Farioli's side advances to the final 16 of this season's Dutch Cup.

Meanwhile, in the Eredivise Ajax currently sit in second, six points behind leaders PSV, having won their recent league match against Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday afternoon.

The Dutch side will return to action in January for a league match against RKC Waalwijk shortly after enjoying a break over Christmas.
