Sancho left City for Dortmund in 2017 and didn't depart on good terms, with lack of game time being his reason.
United produced an announcement video for Sancho in which he says: "This is my club. This is where I belong."

Is that a direct dig at United's bitter rivals?
Fans have noticed his comments in the announcement video and were quick to point them out online.

The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the world's top talents after developing his talents in Germany.
Last season saw him form a bond with Erling Haaland in attack and they took Dortmund to DFB-Pokal glory.
It's a transfer that looked like happening last summer, but United refused to pay the fee Dortmund wanted.
United have also trolled Dortmund themselves with posts announcing Sancho.

Last year, Dortmund posted a picture of Sancho in pre-season training captioned: "You love to see it!"
United then had Sancho recreate the exact same pose on Old Trafford's steps with the same caption.
Sancho has told fans that he wants to win the top trophies with United and he can't wait to get started.

He said: "The chance to join Manchester United is a dream come true and I just cannot wait to perform in the Premier League. This is a young and exciting squad and I know, together, we can develop into something special to bring the success that the fans deserve.
"I am looking forward to working with the manager and his coaching team to further develop my game."
