There are a few surprising names making the list.

The Premier League's best players of the season if the league was to have finished have been revealed and it's Kevin De Bruyne leading the way.

This season's competition is currently suspended till April 4 due to the coronavirus pandemic with the league in limbo.

It will likely lead to debates surrounding the season so far and according to WhoScored.com, it's the Manchester City midfielder who's impressed most with the highest average rating.

De Bruyne has registered 17 assists in this season's Premier League and looked on track to break Thierry Henry's record of 20 in the 02/03 campaign.

Wolves winger Adama Traore is also a surprise inclusion in second place.

The 23-year-old has been a revelation this season as Nuno Espirito Santo's side battled for a Champions League spot.

Interestingly, only one Liverpool player features in the top five despite their 25 point lead at the summit.

Sadio Mane is that man but he ranks behind Riyad Mahrez and Leicester City full-back Ricardo Pereira in the list.

Mane's teammates Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk come in at sixth and seventh respectively.

Marcus Rashford manages to crack the top ten while Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is in 11th place.

The 24-year-old has impressed since returning to the top flight with his boyhood club and has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer.
