Gareth Bale is renowned for scoring worldies and humiliating full-backs, but few people talk about his jaw-dropping ability to absolutely hurl a throw-in.
Videos on social media show the Welsh icon setting up goals or (literally) launching counterattacks with his amazing ability to transform into a human cannon and throw the ball with power and precision.
A throw from inside his own half once set up a Jermaine Defoe goal for Tottenham, while a throw-in for Wales against Croatia led to the observation that Bale, "Throws the ball harder than some can kick it!"
The spectacular part about his throw-ins is that, unlike Rory Delap who had an elaborate routine involving towels and an extended run-up, Bale often just casually picks up the ball but still manages to catapult it for yards.

The one below for Real Madrid involves the quickest of actions, yet is so fast and accurate it's probably more dangerous than a cross.
That Bale is a terrific athlete blessed with remarkable pace and strength has long been discussed. However this particular part of his attacking arsenal isn't often commented upon, possibly because he is too busy scoring bicycle kicks to win Champions League finals. A very cunning distraction, Gareth.
Of course, lately he hasn't even been getting close enough to the pitch to even consider a throw-in, as Real manager Zinedine Zidane has basically frozen the 31-year-old out of the first-team picture over the last year.

However with his return to Tottenham on a loan deal rumoured to be announced tomorrow, you can bet Jose Mourinho's expert eye has spotted Bale's hidden talent.
We look forward to Bale's new incarnation as basically a glorified Delap, standing at the touchline and flinging the ball into the path of Harry Kane while nine other Spurs players sit inside their own half.
Anyone else for 'All or Throw-ins' on Amazon Prime next year?
