Anthony Martial has been called a '£100 million player' by Owen Hargreaves following his performance for Manchester United against Copenhagen.

United advanced to the semi-finals of the Europa League with a 1-0 win in Cologne, Bruno Fernandes' penalty in extra time being the only goal of the game.

Martial won the penalty and was the Red Devils' main attacking threat all night.

BT Sport pundit Hargreaves showered the Frenchman with praise following the game and dubbed him a 'Ferrari.'

"Everyone's got an opinion on Martial," the former United man begun. "He's a Ferrari. He just looked like a £100million player.

Hargreaves' ormer teammate Paul Scholes then chipped in with: "He's turning into a No 9 more and more every game I watch.

"He's normally a brilliant finisher but tonight the finishing wasn't quite there."

Robin van Persie then gave his verdict on the 24-year-old and called him 'world class.'

"Martial always have an eye for his team-mates and that's what sets him apart from the others.

"That's why I think he's a world class player."

@BNSComps put together a compilation of Martial's best moments last night and it's clear to see why he received so much praise.

Fans reacted to the performance and they think the former Monaco man is in the form of his life.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was also quick to credit his striker following the game.

"He was sharp, Anthony has developed throughout the season," the Norweigan explained per SportsScene.

"Today he was involved in the penalty. I think he's impossible to stop at times.

"When he gets the ball into his feet and he drives at people, his balance, he can go either way.

"So, the only thing now is to put that ball in the net again. But delighted with his performance again, yeah."

Martial has scored 23 goals in all competitions this season and he'll be hoping to fire United to the Europa League final on August 21.
