England Players Belting Out 'Sweet Caroline' With 60,000 Fans Inside Wembley Will Give You Goosebumps

Footage of England players wildly celebrating their 2-1 win over Denmark with 60,000 fans inside Wembley is proof that fans make football special.

Gareth Southgate's side reached the final of Euro 2020 on Wednesday evening and it's their first major final since 1966.

Full-time saw all 26 players and the coaching staff sing Neil Diamond's 'Sweet Caroline' with supporters in the stadium.

Captain Harry Kane took his teammates around the stadium belting out the smash hit, which has become one of their unofficial anthems.

Denmark actually took the lead on the night throughMikkel Damsgaard's rocket of a free-kick - the first of the tournament.

The 21-year-old became the first player to score a direct free-kick at this summer's tournament and smashed it past Jordan Pickford.

It was a set piece that caught the eye thanks to the Danes using their own wall to line-up against England's, who conceded their first goal in six games.

Their lead would only last for nine minutes however as Bukayo Saka got in behind on the right hand side.

He put in a cross to Raheem Sterling, but Simon Kjaer turned the ball into his own net to bring the scores to 1-1.

The game remained 1-1 until extra-time when Sterling won a controversial penalty after going down in the box.

Kane had his spot-kick saved by Kasper Schmeichel before tapping in the rebound.

Southgate has now asked his players to jump 'one last hurdle' - an in-form Italy on Sunday evening.

He said: "It's an incredible occasion to be a part of - we knew it wouldn't be straightforward. We said to the players we'll have to show our resilience and come back from some setbacks, and we've done that tonight.

"The most pleasing thing is that we've given our fans and our nation a fantastic night, and the journey continues on for another four days.

"There's one more massive hurdle to try to conquer. Italy are a very good side. They've shown outstanding form and have defensive warriors at the back who have been through everything. It's something to look forward to."
