Sergio Aguero and Manchester City have announced that the striker will be leaving the Etihad at the end of this season, after almost ten years at the club.

One of the Argentine's great rivals through the years was Wayne Rooney during his time at Manchester United, and the now Derby manager has had his say on Aguero's time in the Premier League.

With many lauding the 32-year-old as the best foreign striker to play in the division, Rooney was asked if he agreed - but the former England international did not.

Bringing up the likes of Ruud van Nistelrooy, Dennis Bergkamp, and Eric Cantona as honourable mentions, Rooney revealed that it was actually an Arsenal legend who he believes is the best foreign striker to have played in the league.

According to Rooney, Thierry Henry still holds the title: "Aguero has been fantastic and is certainly right up there. But if I was asked to choose then I'd probably say Thierry Henry was the best foreign player.

"There's a few in a pack just behind him who are right up there like Aguero, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Dennis Bergkamp and Eric Cantona."

However, Rooney stil appreciates what Aguero has done in the last ten years.

"He's certainly one of the Premier League greats that's for sure. He's right up there. He's a fantastic player.

"He's outstanding and has been a revelation. I'm sure he will be missed at City and by the Premier League because he's a quality player.

"Whether he stays in England I don't know, but whatever he does, he's certainly had a fantastic career."

What do you think? Who is your best foreign import to the Premier League?
