Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty and Ante Rebic was sent off for a flying kung fu kick in a crazy one minute period this evening.

Juventus and AC Milan are facing off in their Coppa Italia second leg clash tonight in the first Italian football match for over three months.

Ronaldo had won the penalty after he attempted jink past Andrea Conti, with the ball hitting the Italian's arm.

However, the 35-year-old saw his spot kick tipped onto the post by Gianluigi Donnarumma and the away side were jubilant.

Moments later, it turned to despair moments later as Ante Rebic planted his studs into Danilo's chest and was given his marching orders after a VAR review.

The Croatian forward was initially given a yellow card before VAR intervened.

Fans have reacted to the incident and Italian football has certainly made an impression just one game into the restart.

Rebic's red card will come as a blow to Milan as the 26-year-old is currently the man leading their attack, with injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic forcing Stefano Pioli to reshuffle his attack.

Juve have dominated since the sending off but have failed to take the lead on the night.

The tie is currently 1-1 after a draw at the San Siro back in February.

Who do you think will advance to the Coppa Italia final?
