Anthony Martial Sent Off For Violent Conduct Vs Tottenham Hotspur

Anthony Martial has been sent off for Manchester United after hitting Tottenham Hotspur's Erik Lamela in the face.

Both players had a coming together in the 28th minute and Lamela flung his arm into the Frenchman's face.

Martial then responded by swiping at Lamela who collapsed in a heap in the United box.

Amidst the chaos, referee Anthony Taylor brandished a red card to Martial who looked bemused as he left the pitch.

United took the lead inside the two minutes thanks to a Bruno Fernandes penalty.

Davinson Sanchez hauled down Martial in the area and Fernandes coolly dispatched past Hugo Lloris.

Their lead would only last for two minutes as Tanguy Ndombele capitalised on poor defending from Eric Bailly and Harry Maguire to level.

Son Heung-min gave Spurs the lead three minutes later before Harry Kane chipped in on the half hour mark, following Martial's sending off.
