Liverpool will continue their rampage in the transfer market this summer by reportedly snapping up Lyon star Nabil Fekir.

It's not like the Reds are short of attacking options; Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino becoming arguably the strongest attacking force since MSN last season.

Even still, it appears that manager Jurgen Klopp is going for 'overkill', as French international Fekir looks set for an Anfield move this transfer window, just a medical to go.

Eurosport and Canal Plus sports journalist and soon to be Liverpool hero Romain Collet-Gaudin has tweeted that a deal between the attacker and the Merseyside club is close, just a medical to be had.

He said via his social media account: "#Fekir and his agent Jean-Pierre #Bernes should be in #Liverpool this Sunday to settle the final details of the transfer of the French international.

"If all goes well, medical visit in stride! #LFC."

Wow. Just. Like. That.

Obviously, transfer stories can be unreliable, but this reporter appears to have a good reputation.

Last week, Reds legend Jan Molby said that a deal should be tied up before this summer's World Cup in Russia. He said via The Metro: "There'll be more business to come, and Nabil Fekir is clearly a player they want and will hope to tie up a deal before the World Cup.

"Fekir is very much in line with the attacking players we have at the club, at being able to handle the ball at a high tempo and play at a high tempo, being cute and with a sharp mind.

"I would be amazed if there are not other big clubs interested, but Liverpool are slowly making their way back not only to the top of the English game, but the top of the European game.

"There will be more and more of those top players keen on joining them."

It's thought that Fekir is worth around £50 million, so Liverpool will have to splash the cash to seal the deal - something which they seem prepared to do.

Fabinho and Naby Keita are already Reds players - great additions to the strongest Liverpool side in years. It's hard to see past Reds being a massive threat next season.
