The Condition Cristiano Ronaldo Was Diagnosed With In 2014 That Has No Cure And Gets Worse Over Time

Cristiano Ronaldo has been playing with a heavy knee injury that has 'no cure' since 2014 according to a fascinating Twitter thread.

Ronaldo moved to Juventus in 2018 after nine years with Real Madrid, where he won multiple La Liga titles and Champions Leagues.

However, @laligafrauds has made extraordinary claims that the 35-year-old has been playing with a knee condition called 'tendinosis' since 2014 - which has no cure.

Ronaldo burst onto the world stage as a winger but has played more centrally in recent years, with this chronic knee issue the mooted reason.

The injury is described as 'degeneration' rather than 'inflammation' which means the Portuguese international's knee condition will worsen every time he uses it.

It puts into perspective how hard 'CR7' has worked over the last six years considering the success he has achieved.

Since 2014, Ronaldo has won four Champions Leagues and two La Ligas with Real Madrid as well as a Serie A title with Juventus.

He also won Euro 2016 with Portugal as well as the inaugural Nations League competition in 2019.

Individual awards also followed in the form of the Ballon d'Or in 2014, 2016 and 2017.

The thread then goes on to compare his stats with longtime rival Lionel Messi following the injury, with the stats showing he couldn't match the Argentine's numbers.

It's certainly extraordinary insight into an issue rarely discussed when it comes to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
