Jesse Lingard Was Desperate To Take West Ham's Penalty - Even 'Argued' With Declan Rice

Jesse Lingard is so full of confidence at West Ham United, he had a minor argument with captain Declan Rice over penalty taking responsibilities vs Sheffield United.
The on-loan Manchester United man opened his Hammers account on his debut with two goals vs Aston Villa and he's keen to add to his tally.
Lingard won the penalty late in the first half and Rice had the ball ready to step up - but Lingard was desperate to take over.
Both players exchanged words before Rice took his spot kick to give West Ham the lead. They then shared a hug and little chat during the celebrations.

Jesse Lingard wasn't overly-happy to let Declan Rice do the honours, but was the first to congratulate the West Ham star after he puts it away :raised_hands:

Lingard is currently enjoying some of his best football in a long time and seeing him back on form is warming fan's hearts.

Nice to get an actual penalty. Very well taken from Rice, can't help but feel for Lingard there.
Started the move, won the penalty and not being able to take it, yet one of the first over to Rice when he converted.
That's the sort of player we want around.
