Jesse Lingard Was Desperate To Take West Ham's Penalty - Even 'Argued' With Declan Rice

Jesse Lingard is so full of confidence at West Ham United, he had a minor argument with captain Declan Rice over penalty taking responsibilities vs Sheffield United.

The on-loan Manchester United man opened his Hammers account on his debut with two goals vs Aston Villa and he's keen to add to his tally.

Lingard won the penalty late in the first half and Rice had the ball ready to step up - but Lingard was desperate to take over.

Both players exchanged words before Rice took his spot kick to give West Ham the lead. They then shared a hug and little chat during the celebrations.

Lingard is currently enjoying some of his best football in a long time and seeing him back on form is warming fan's hearts.

West Ham will temporarily move into the top four if they hold on for victory this evening.
