Cristiano Ronaldo might be heading to Juventus, and one company is pulling out all the stops to ensure the deal goes through.

As has been widely reported, Ronaldo is subject to a 100 million euro move to the Italian giants this summer, on a four-year contract.

It would be a sensational move, but one that may cause one or to question why Ronaldo would want to take a step down.

But others are hopeful that the deal does pull through, with car manufacturer Fiat offering to subsidise the 33-year-old's wages if he was to move to Turin, according to Sport Mediaset.

Fiat are Juventus' sponsors, but this might be the best example of a shirt sponsor going above and beyond for their client.

It might sound like a decent piece of PR by the company, but it has left some of their employees fuming with the idea.

Gerardo Giannone, a worker whose jobs is at Fiat's Pomigliano D'Arco factory near Napoli, said to Corriere del Mezzogiorn: "After Higuain, also Cristiano Ronaldo? It's a shame. Fiat workers have not had a pay rise in 10 years. With Cristiano's salary we could give every worker an extra €200 (a month).

"In the last 10 years we have lost 10.7 per cent of inflation never recovered and FCA spends 126 million euro (on) annual sponsorship, 26.5m only for Juventus. And now after Higuain they plan to take Ronaldo. It is shameful, even that no one has said a word."

Footballers wages are reaching unbelievable levels, but surely most Turin locals will be more than glad that Fiat are helping the cause.
