Fee Agreed Between Barcelona And Chelsea For Willian

Barcelona are on the verge of signing Willian, following months of speculation that he would be joining the side.

The attacker, on his day, is one of the standout performers for Chelsea.
In the season that Jose Mourinho was sacked by the club, Willian was the west London side's biggest asset. He is direct, able to score goals and create chances, everything you would want from a winger.
But now Barcelona are closing in on the Brazil star. It's a similar transfer to that of Phillipe Coutinho last summer, a player who is obviously great for the Premier League, but not that of the ability in which you feel a Barcelona player demands.
Even still, Barce dominated the La Liga last season, where they almost went through a whole campaign without losing.
And the addition of Willian could be made in order to bolster their squad rather than a first time starter. But that all remains to be seen.
Been reported by Sky Italia that ChelseaFC have accepted an offer of £67.1m from @FCBarcelona for @willianborges88. He will sign a 5 year deal worth €40m #CFC

Willian has served @ChelseaFC with distinction and we have got as much as we could out of him. He deserves a fresh start

It's been a strange period for the Blues. Antonio Conte left the side and the feeling is that something greater could have been achieved with him at the helm.
But, such is football.
