Cristiano Ronaldo & Manchester United Teammate 'Not Passing' To Each Other Due To 'Lack Of Understanding'

Manchester United teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Mason Greenwood are reportedly 'not passing' to one another during games due to a lack of understanding.

United suffered a humiliating 5-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday evening and information about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign as manager is beginning to emerge.

Ronaldo returned to the club in the summer and hasn't fully clicked with 20-year-old Greenwood in attack yet.

Per ESPN, a source within United believes Solskjaer is finding it hard to 'convincingly' link Ronaldo and Greenwood up.

Teammates have started to notice the pair rarely pass to one another, while Ronaldo is becoming increasingly frustrated with Greenwood's decision making.

The youngster is an incredible finisher and often goes for goal, while Ronaldo would like to see him pass in goalscoring positions.

It isn't the only issue Solskjaer is having regarding his players.

Senior members of the squad believe there needs to be more tactical direction from Solskjaer and his coaching staff.

The weekend's defeat to Liverpool saw United concede four goals in the first half after being pulled apart in defence.

Sources also indicate that Solskjaer is too reliant on his 'favourite' players, with Jesse Lingard, Donny van de Beek and Nemanja Matic suffering.

Antonio Conte is said to be interested in taking the job after leaving Inter Milan in the summer.

Despite Conte's interest, United legend Gary Neville believes he wouldn't be the right fit at this moment in time.

"They won't bring a hitman in. They will stick with Ole and he has to win something this season. Any other club he'd be in trouble tonight [Sunday]," Neville told Sky Sports.

"Jose [Mourinho] was the best manager in the world and couldn't do it. I wouldn't bring Conte in to United. He's not a fit for United.

"I might be wrong but I don't think that he is. I think it would be wrong to sack Ole today. I sacked a manager after six games last season, it was the wrong thing to do, I should've let things breathe."
