AS Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco has vowed revenge on Liverpool and Alisson after the Reds sealed the transfer of goalkeeper.

Brazilian international Alisson became the world's most expensive keeper after he made the move from Roma to the Reds this week, with the fee reported to be around £65 million.

Last season in the semi-final of the Champions League, Roma lost 7-6 on aggregate to Liverpool, as the Premier League side progressed to the final in Kiev, where they lost 3-1 to Real Madrid.

But - similar to Salah the year before - Alisson decided to sign up to Liverpool and become their main man between the sticks, but his former boss told reporters of what he said to the 25-year-old before he departed Roma, via the Liverpool Echo: "We hope to meet him in the Champions League and beat him, like I told him today when he came to say goodbye."

They have been jokes about how AS Roma is slowly transforming into the new Southampton, the side who the Reds enjoy nicking all their talent off.

Jurgen Klopp's side look even more deadly than last season. The goalkeeping frailties of the side has been addressing and on the attacking front, more players have been added, in what could be described as overkilled.

Many supporters and pundits are starting to believe.

But others - namely Manchester City and Manchester United supporters - have made it their mission to tell Reds fans that regardless of spending, they won't be winning any silverware next season.
