Yep, he's still playing.

You can be excused for thinking that Diego Forlan had hung up his boots, but he is in fact still playing at the ripe old age of 38.

The Uruguayan legend, who had a brief spell with Manchester United in the Premier League, has signed with Hong Kong outfit Kitchee FC, who are the reigning champions.

They confirmed the marquee signing on their official channels, with Forlan expected to join up with his new club on 10 January.

Forlan had been without a club for over a year, but now returns to Asia for the third time in his decorated career.

He turned out for Indian Super League side Mumbai City in 2016, with the spell ending very briefly. Prior to that, he played a season at his boyhood club Penarol in Uruguay, following on from a stint at Cerezo Osaka in Japan.

The well-travelled striker arrives in Hong Kong with a wealth of experience in the game. As well as being the joint Golden Boot winner in the 2010 World Cup, where he scored five goals with the controversial Jabulani football, he is also a two-time recipient of the European Golden shoe.

In 2004/05, he shared the award with Thierry Henry after netting 25 goals for Villarreal before besting everyone else four years later when he bagged 32 for Atletico Madrid.

We're backing him to supply the goals in Hong Kong, but at the same time, are curious to know if there will ever be a time where he's not playing football professionally?

Keep at it, Diego.
