Philippe Coutinho took part in his first training session for Aston Villa since his move from Barcelona and fans can't get enough.

Despite battling with Covid-19, Coutinho looks in fine form ahead of potentially making his Villa debut against Manchester United on Saturday.

While he's not completely match fit, the brilliant Brazilian got fans excited with his first training session for his new side.

The Champions League winner trained with his new teammates on Wednesday and we think it's safe to say that he absolutely dominated.

He showed off his finishing and his trademark cut - not to mention his quick feet. All this in front of Steven Gerrard, who played a big factor in the former Liverpool star moving to Villa Park.

Check out Coutinho's first Villa training session via the club's official website.

In reaction to Coutinho's training session, one Twitter user wrote: "The cut inside from Phil is iconic can’t wait to see one in villa colour."

A second tweeted: "Goosebumps. Still got quick feet."

A third added: "Watched the whole thing and he looks sharp. Obviously, it's been cut up but he's easily the best technical player at the club."

The Premier League outfit fended off fierce competition to land the Barcelona man, with the 29-year-old revealing his talks with Gerrard.

"It’s a pleasure to be here; it’s a great club," he said.

"I spoke a lot with the manager, with Stevie, and he told me about the club and his ambitions. I’m very happy to be here and I'm looking to enjoy my football.

"I’ve known Stevie for a long time. I played with him and I learned a lot from him.

"He’s someone who I have big admiration for. I hope to do my best here. For sure, I will work hard, and I hope together we can do good work."
