A compilation of Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah linking up during their time at Liverpool has emerged.

The footage showed both players creating chances for eachother, the pair established a great connection on the pitch. In the video, both players showed their eye for the killer pass and they showed great movements off the ball.

During their short time together at the Anfield club, Coutinho provided Salah with two assists in the Premier League, against Southampton and Leicester City. Whilst Salah provided the Brazilian with one assist, against Swansea City.

The statistics may be underwhelming but the general play between the two was really something to behold. They were often the first names on the team sheet under Jurgen Klopp. The duo played in some of the most memorable matches of the Klopp era, including a 7-0 thrashing of Spartak Moscow in the Champions League.

Along with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, Liverpool had a unbelievable front four that frightened their opponents.

However, Liverpool fans were not able to enjoy the Coutinho and Salah partnership for long. The Brazilian left Anfield for Barcelona in January 2018, the deal to lure Coutinho away was worth £145 million. Big money came with big expectations, but Coutinho failed to live up to the hype as he was unable to rediscover the form he showed during his Liverpool days.

His time at Barcelona was branded as a ‘failure’, he returned to the Premier League in January this year, reuniting with former Liverpool team mate Steven Gerrard who is now the manager at Aston Villa.

Coutinho showed what he is capable of during his first weeks as a Villa player, scoring an equaliser in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United. The Brazilian nearly handed Liverpool the title on the final day after he scored at the Etihad against Manchester City to make it 2-0, but Pep Guardiola’s side mounted a monumental come back to win 3-2 to clinch the league title. After a successful loan spell, he joined Villa on a permanent deal this summer.

Salah on the other hand has been world class since his first game as a Liverpool player, records are being written by the 'Egyptian King' season after season. Salah is the record holder for most goals in one season after scoring 32 goals during his debut season with the Reds.

Salah became only the fourth player to win the Golden Boot on four occasions as he shared the accolade for the 21/22 season with Spurs forward Son Heung Min. The Liverpool man signed a new contract this summer to end rumours of a move away.
