A fan was a Liverpool Premier League and Champions League win away from winning a massive £128,000.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were gunning for all four major trophies having won both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup earlier on in the season.
But they fell one point short of Manchester City again after an astonishing come back from Pep Guardiola’s side from 2-0 down against an Aston Villa side managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

A week after their domestic campaign ended with disappointment, they were hoping to end their European journey with a win, but a stubborn Real Madrid side had other ideas.
A Vinicius Junior goal and a Man of the Match performance from goalkeeper Thibault Courtois earned a 1-0 win for the now 14 times Champions League winners.
It was a season that promised so much for Liverpool but ultimately delivered only two domestic cups. A season that ended with bitter disappointment.

One fan felt the disappointment the most as he was a Liverpool win away from winning big money.
The fan, Ste Turton put on two separate bets which involved both the Los Angeles Rams and the Golden State Warriors winning the Superbowl and NBA Championship respectively. One had Liverpool to win the Champions League, the other had the Reds winning the Premier League.
If Liverpool won the Champions League, Ste would have won £92,000. And if Liverpool had won both, Ste would have took home £128,000 after both the Warriors and the Rams won their respective competitions.
Ste took to social media to share his bets, he tweeted: “Liverpool Champions league win away from 92k. And a League/CL double away from 128k … Get it next year. Up the Reds/Rams/ @warriors #gamblingtwitter #warriors” Along with pictures of his bet slips.

So close but yet so far, 180 minutes way from a potential winning of nearly £130,000.
Liverpool will look to challenge on all fronts again and have been busy in the transfer window, bringing in Fabio Carvalho from Fulham and snapping up Benfica striker Darwin Nunez for a deal worth a massive £85 million, the Reds are also believed to be closing in on a deal for Aberdeen full back Calvin Ramsey.
However, star man Sadio Mane looks destined for an Anfield exit as his move to German champions Bayern Munich edges ever closer.
