A fan has captured the incredible moment Luka Modric OUTPACED Kevin De Bruyne during Real Madrid's big win over Manchester City.

The Spanish giants beat Man City 3-1 on the night (6-5 on aggregate) to book their spot in the Champions League final.

Karim Benzema once again grabbed the headlines after he continued his ultra-prolific campaign, with fans marveling over Eduardo Camavinga's sensational cameo appearance.

Fans also loved the sequence between Modric and De Bruyne, who lost a foot race to the 36-year-old midfielder.

A supporter watching on from the stands videoed the Croatian star outpacing the Belgium international and it makes for incredible viewing.

Modric ruining the Man City ace for pace didn't go unnoticed on social media.

Speaking after the game, Carlo Ancelotti hailed the showing of Modric as well as Toni Kroos and Casemiro.

"No one, no one, no one thought Real Madrid would have reached the final but here we are," he said.

"Modric, Kroos and Casemiro played an amazing game, we have to recognise this. I changed them only to have less tired players on the pitch.

"The future is in good hands but Modrić, Kroos and Casemiro will still be here too."

Modric has been in terrific form for Real this season, starring in La Liga and the Champions League.

He was brilliant against Paris Saint-Germain and delivered another stellar showing against Chelsea in the previous round.

Despite his age, he shows no signs of slowing down - with Modric set to extend his stay at the club by another year.
