Hero to villain. Arturo Vidal had an eventful first half against Real Madrid as he opened the scoring, then failed to double their lead from the spot.
Bayern Munich hosted their Spanish counterparts at the Allianz Arena ahead of the second leg next week.
And the hosts got off to a great start after Vidal put them 1-up in the 25th minute.

But just before the break, Bayern had the chance to go 2-up though Vidal fluffed his lines from the spot.
The referee judged Real defender Dani Carvajal to have handled inside his box, which resulted in a dubious penalty.
