It's become part of the modern game. I'm not talking about fans leaving early or players wearing dodgy shirt numbers, I'm talking about someone getting a slating on social media after a mistake.
In this instance, England fans were furious with Joe Hart following his failure to save Iceland's second goal, scored by Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.
But as we know, Joe Hart isn't on twitter, unlike the majority of footballers. So instead, a twitter user with the @JoeHart handle was sadly hit with a series of tweets.

In fact, he was well aware about what was about to happen.
But that didn't stop the series of tweets and replies that followed.
This is a becoming a recurring theme on the twitter sphere, with many people suffering from mistaken identity.
