Mauricio Pochettino Has Got Some Bad News For Spurs Fans

Spurs fans might not be happy their team have been so quiet in the transfer window but they'll be even less happy about the latest news.

Mauricio Pochettino must be having the most chilled out summer of all the Premier League managers. However he might be about to be hit by a backlash from Tottenham fans after his latest plans.

Whilst most managers in the Premier League are picking up the phone and getting on the old fax machine, seriously no one uses these anymore, to try and get any number of details done, Mauricio Pochettino is taking it easy.

The Spurs manager might as well be sat on a sun lounger with his phone turned off because he's yet to do any major transfer business and there's no suggestion that's going to change at any point.

In fact the only big deal being talked about involving the the north London club is Eric Dier leaving for Old Trafford, something that Spurs reportedly don't want to happen.

We can't be sure that Spurs fans will be annoyed by the lack of transfer activity but one thing that will certainly irk them is Pochettino's suggestion that Moussa Sissoko is in his plans next season. The Spurs boss, as reported by the Mirror, said:

"Sissoko is training with Erik Lamela and Heung-min Son back home and they are all at different levels so we will see in the next few weeks the evolution for everyone.

"He's a member of our squad and he's in my plans for the season and for us he is still a member of the squad."

Last summer it looked like Sissoko was going to be a deadline day transfer for Everton as the Toffees were desperate to get their hands on the Newcastle United winger, who impressed at the Euros.

However out of nowhere Spurs stole in to sign the 27 year-old, however his move to White Hart Lane did not work out and he started just eight games in the league and wasn't at all impressive.

The last thing Spurs fans would actually want is seeing him stay on this season. And with Everton once again linked with him, and Marseille also in the mix, you'd have thought Pochettino would be talking about selling him.

Can Sissoko find a way into the first team?
