Journalist's Andy Carroll-Harry Kane Comparison Is Utterly Brilliant

It's fair to say that most people weren't in agreement with the idea.

If you thought that Andy Carroll being rumoured as being a Chelsea transfer target was the weirdest story the West Ham striker was going to be involved with this month then you're very much mistaken!

As a footballer Andy Carroll is mainly known for one thing and it's not his ability or his goalscoring record, it's the amount of times he's injured. Oh and the fact he was once Fernando Torres' replacement at Liverpool!

Check out our video on the transfers that somehow never happened:

Ever since the big striker joined the Reds from Newcastle, in what was one of the more expensive panic buys of recent times, the 29 year old has suffered from a run of serious injuries that have never really allowed him to get going.

He's shown decent form in patches but it's inevitably followed by a suspension or injury. Despite all that he's recently been linked to a move to Chelsea to the bafflement of everyone, well nearly everyone.

On Sky's Sunday Supplement journalist Neil Custis compared Carroll to Spurs' Harry Kane:

It's fair to say most people weren't in agreement!

The thing is no one's denying that Carroll can be a very good striker when on form but he scored just four goals in 35 appearances in the league in one season for Liverpool and whilst many of those appearances were off the bench it's still not good enough.

Since then he's scored just 32 goals in 110 matches for West Ham, it's a decent return in reality but it's not what Harry Kane does and that's not an insult!
