Everton Star Richarlison Mocks Liverpool After Premier League Title Disappointment

There is absolutely no love lost between Richarlison and his team's local rivals Liverpool, and he was very happy on Sunday afternoon.

Everton star Richarlison was straight on social media to mock Liverpool, after they missed out on the Premier League title on the final day of the season.

Drama ran high in the title race, as Liverpool came so close to overtaking Manchester City on Sunday, with Pep Guardiola's side falling two goals down to Aston Villa.

If Jurgen Klopp's side had managed to take the lead against Wolves whilst City were losing, having gone behind themselves, then they would have gone top of the table.

That might have changed things, if the mood at the Etihad Stadium had got even more tense, but instead it was Guardiola's team who defended the title and won their fourth in five years, coming back to defeat Villa 3-2.

Richarlison, who doesn't exactly share a love with his Merseyside neighbours, was quick to jump on social media to mock Everton's rivals, posting a gif of Thierry Henry laughing, and getting a lot of bites.

There were of course plenty of bites from Liverpool fans on the tweet, with many pointing out the Brazilian's own failings this season.

First up, Everton actually lost 5-1 on the final day of the season, as Arsenal battered them in their own vain attempts to finish in the top four and grab a spot in the Champions League.

Whilst Liverpool were just two points off winning their 20th league title, the Toffees needed their own comeback win last Thursday to even stay in the division.

That win over Crystal Palace was followed by Richarlison's previous encounter with Liverpool fans, after hitting out at Jamie Carragher's criticism, which the Sky Sports pundit actually enjoyed.

Rival fans also enjoyed pointing out that the 25-year-old forward had only scored 10 league goals in this campaign, less than Norwich's Teemu Pukki.

The former Watford forward wasn't the only one who managed to troll Liverpool fans on Sunday, as someone inside Anfield pulled off the ultimate prank.

With the two games nearly over, and City winning 3-2, the Reds had finally taken the lead against Wolves and knew any goal from Villa would hand them the title.

Suddenly fans inside the stadium begun cheering as news travelled around that Steven Gerrard's side had equalised, however that wasn't actually the case.

At least they had a comeback to Richarlison's attempts to get under their skin...
