Erling Haaland Showcases Insane Pace To Score For Norway Against Serbia

Manchester City's Erling Haaland got in the box in rapid time to open the scoring for Norway.

Erling Haaland has got Manchester City fans seriously excited after scoring for Norway against Serbia.

The 21-year-old, who is set to officially become a City player on July 1, opened the scoring in the UEFA Nations League clash.

And although the goal wasn't quite on par with the weak foot worldie he scored in Norway training this week, there was a lot to be impressed by.

Haaland won the initial free-kick and then when Norway got playing quickly and attacked down the right, their No.9 demonstrated frightening speed to get into the box.

He was so far behind and yet an insane dart towards goal saw him attack the far post and get his goal.

It was fairly simple stuff from Haaland but you would expect the £51 million to score this type of goal a whole lot of times next season.

Fans are very much salivating at the thought of Haaland getting these type of opportunities and think he could form quite the partnership with Raheem Sterling if he stays put.

Haaland now has nine goals in his last six games for Norway and is already shaping up to the perfect striker for Pep Guardiola and City.

His latest strike was another instance of his incredible movement and specifically how he's mastered the "double run".

When his team have the ball in the final third, Haaland will regularly make a decoy run.

He then follows that up with a second movement that gives him that all-important split-second to find the space.

It could be to the far post or the near post but Haaland has perfected the skill and the thought of him being served by City's playmakers is mouthwatering.

Kevin De Bruyne, City's chief creator, has been expressing his excitement over linking up with the former Red Bull Salzburg man.

Speaking to HLN, he said: "Erling Haaland is a top striker. His move should help us to grow as a team.

"Everybody expects a lot. They've always been looking for a number 9, but I think it'll be good to have that striker that maybe scores 20-25 goals a season."
