Erling Haaland gave a brilliant post-match interview after scoring a ridiculous FIVE goals for Manchester City in the 7-0 Champions League hammering of RB Leipzig.

Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne also found the net but it was all about Haaland, who scored a first half hat-trick and helped himself to a brace in the second half.

He has now hit 39 goals this season - the most a City player has ever managed in a single campaign. What's more, the former Borussia Dortmund man has become the youngest player to reach 30 goals in the Champions League.

But the only downside for Haaland was that he was taken off in the 64th minute before he had the chance to make more history and become the first player to a score double hat-trick in the Champions League.

He looked visibly frustrated and after being seen in conversation with De Bruyne, was spotted saying something to his manager Pep Guardiola.

And in a superb interview pitchside with BT Sport alongside Jake Humphrey, Rio Ferdinand, Nedum Onuoha and Joleon Lescott afterwards, Haaland shed light on what he said to Guardiola.

Haaland revealed: "I'm really proud to play in the Champions League. I really love this competition.

"My super strength? I think after scoring five goals, I have to say scoring goals. A lot of goals today, I didn't think. I was just doing it.

"I told him [Pep Guardiola] when I went off, 'I would love to score a double hat-trick'. But what can I do?"

"I would love to score a double hat-trick!"

Haaland once scored nine goals playing for Norway against Honduras at Under 20 level and his desire for finding the net is almost unmatched.

His five-goal haul on Tuesday evening came saw him achieve it in just 30 touches - therefore averaging a goal every six touches.
