Jude Bellingham is said to be one of five players unhappy in the Real Madrid dressing room under Xabi Alonso.

Level on points with Barcelona having played a game less, Real host Elche in La Liga on Sunday evening in their first game following on from the international break.

On his recall to the England team, Bellingham was the talk of the town in the Three Lions' win over Albania over his reaction to being substituted.

Named Man of the Match, Bellingham was replaced by Morgan Rogers in the 84th minute but appeared to be visibly annoyed with Thomas Tuchel's decision to take him off and waving his arms in frustration.

Tuchel said he would "review" the reaction from Bellingham but the incident and media coverage led to Ian Wright claiming that the press in Britain are not “ready for a black superstar” in response to the criticism.

All does not appear to be rosy with Bellingham at club level, as Mundo Deportivo claim that the former Borussia Dortmund man is among the players in the dressing room not happy with Alonso, alongside Vinicius Jr and Endrick.

The article reads: "Xabi Alonso's relationship with the dressing room hasn't been easy. Besides Vinicius, Valverde, Bellingham, Rodrygo, and Endrick don't seem too happy with him."

Though Alonso is well aware of the egos in a Real dressing room given his spell at the Santiago Bernabeu, there is difficulty in managing those players and that appears to be a key theme in reports suggesting there are some doubts over his future.

Earlier this month, the same outlet said that the “dressing room shows little to no connection” to Alonso.

It was previously reported that defeat in El Clasico would "practically seal his fate", Real triumphed 2-1 with Bellingham scoring the winner. Now, the Champions League clash with Manchester City on 10 December has been pinpointed as a decisive date for Alonso.

What has Alonso said about Bellingham?

Bellingham had a period in the season where he wasn't in a regular, with Alonso managing his minutes as he recovered from shoulder surgery.

But he is now fit and firing again and looking to kick on.

Despite claims that their relationship isn't perfect, Alonso has been extremely complimentary about the Birmingham City academy product and believes Real are "lucky" to have him.

After Bellingham scored the winner in a 1-0 win over Juventus, Alonso said it is a "privilege" to manage him.

"We're lucky to have Jude on our side. He is one of the most complete players in the world," Alonso said.

"He has so many qualities, he's one of the most complete footballers on the planet. It's a privilege to have him on my team."
