Several England fans have been attacked outside a pub in Dortmund hours before the Euro 2024 semi-final.

England take on the Netherlands in the German city tonight, with the winner facing Spain in the final on Sunday.

But there was disorder among a small group of fans this afternoon.

One England fan was on the receiving end of kicks and punches from at least three supporters, all of whom were wearing orange shirts.

Several chairs were then launched at a section of England supporters stood outside the pub, with the Three Lions fans subsequently retreating instead.

Just as the scene began to calm, one England fan charged towards a section of Dutch fans, with a brawl then ensuing before more chairs were thrown in the direction from which they came from.

You can see the incidents below.

According to the Daily Mail's Mike Keegan, five England fans have been injured after 'a series of attacks by Dutch hooligans on bars where they were drinking'.

UK police have said that 'gangs of Dutch risk fans' have travelled to the area, and have warned English fans to go to areas where German police are present.

There have been more joyful scenes in other parts of the city, though, with both Dutch and English fans joining together before kick-off in Dortmund.

They joined together to chant a rendition of 'Hey Jude' - the chant for England star Jude Bellingham.

Speaking ahead of the clash, England boss Gareth Southgate told the media: "The atmosphere in the stadiums has been great this tournament and it's added a different feel and intensity to the games.

"I'm sure our fans will make themselves heard and it will be a colourful occasions. These occasions are why we're involved in football and we're looking forward to stepping up.

"Ronald [Koeman] is an experienced coach and could adapt in a different way to how they [the Netherlands] have been so far.

"We're prepared for anything. We need another step up from what we showed in the last game. It's a step up in quality of opponents, and we are ready for that."
