England U21s are in their first final since 2009.

England U21's Euro final against Spain will be broadcast live on TV in the UK.

So far, the young Three Lions have had a 100 per cent record after beating the likes of the Czech Republic, Israel, Germany and Portugal without conceding a single goal.

On Wednesday evening, they dispatched Israel 3-0 thanks to goals from Morgan Gibbs White, Cole Palmer and Cameron Archer.

Ahead of the final against Spain on Saturday, it has been confirmed that Channel 4 will be showing the match live.

In a statement, they said: “Channel 4 will broadcast exclusive live television coverage of England U-21’s UEFA 2023 European Championship Final against Spain U-21 this Saturday (8 July 2023).

“The Young Lions will look to make history when they appear in their first final for 14 years and take on an impressive Spanish U-21s, La Rojita, who have won three of their last seven competitions.”

Channel 4’s Chief Content Officer Ian Katz said: “Channel 4 has brought a number of historic sporting moments to a free to air audience in recent years and we’re delighted that the nation will be able to watch England’s Under-21s as they attempt to make their own bit of history against Spain on Saturday.

”The Young Lions final will be part of a bumper weekend of sport on Channel 4 with live coverage of qualifying for the British GP earlier on Saturday and the Grand Prix itself on Sunday.”

Ahead of their first final since 2009, manager Lee Carsley said: “It’s a great achievement for the players. We spoke about creating our own history.

“We’ve done well up till now, but the next thing is the biggest thing. It comes in three days, so recovery will be important now.”

He added: “I still think we’ve still got a lot of improving to do. There’s still another level for this team to go. They’ve really grown as a group and they’re getting everything they deserve.

“I’m so, so pleased for them because I’m a big believer that we’ve got so much quality and they just need the opportunity.”

England U21 vs Spain U21 will take place at the Batumi Stadium in Georgia on Saturday afternoon.
