England Players Gatecrash Sarina Wiegman’s Press Conference By Singing 'It’s Coming Home'

England Players Gatecrash Sarina Wiegman’s Press Conference By Singing 'It’s Coming Home'

They will celebrate long into the night following their final win against Germany.

In the aftermath of their European Championship win against Germany, a jubilant England squad sang the chorus to 'Three Lions' as they gatecrashed Sarina Wiegman’s press conference. How good is this?

It was a Sunday to remember for the Lionesses. This team have inspired a generation of young women in recent weeks with wins over Austria, Norway, Northern Ireland, Spain and Sweden.

And once again, the likes of Lucy Bronze, Georgia Stanway and Leah Williamson, amongst many others, helped them over the line, showing heart, determination and composure on the grandest stage of them all.

After a tense game that went to extra-time, England lifted their first major piece of silverware since 1966, beating great rivals Germany in a nerve-wracking final.

Ella Toone came off the bench to score the opener before Lina Magull equalised for the Germans.

The game then went to extra-time and in a moment that sent over 80,000 fans into a frenzy, Chloe Kelly netted the winner with 110 minutes on the clock.

Here's what it sounded like in the stadium.

After the full-time whistle, England manager Sarina Wiegman was getting ready to speak in her post-match press conference when she was interrupted in style.

Lucy Bronze was the first to enter the room before most of her teammates followed.

Goalkeeper Mary Earps even climbed onto the table to dance the night away.

Ahead of the final, David Baddiel and the Lightning Seeds teamed up once again to reshape their iconic 'Three Lions' song into 'Three Lionesses' to cheer on England.

With the help of Chelcee Grimes and former England players Fara Williams, Anita Asante, Rachel Yankey, Faye White and Rachel Brown-Finnis, they performed the song at Camden's Electric Ballroom on Saturday.

The song's lyrics were given a bit of a retool, with the passage about players now going: "But now I see Ellen White standing tall, Russo ready to score, Stanway belting the ball and Beth Mead screaming."

The song ended on a hopeful note with the lyrics: "Lionesses roar, a squad we can believe in. This England team have soared, no more need for dreaming."
