Kevin De Bruyne had an ice-cold response when he had not one but TWO bottles thrown at him by Arsenal fans.

De Bruyne starred as Manchester City beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates to move top of the Premier League.

He opened the scoring with a superb finish, then turned provider as he set up Erling Haaland for his side's third goal.

De Bruyne's wizardry in the middle of the park proved too much for Arsenal - and their fans judging by their shocking behavour in the closing stages of the top-of-the-table clash.

In the 90th minute as De Bruyne made his way around the ground after being substituted, he had a few bottles thrown at him.

But he looked completely unfazed as he dodged the first bottle before cheekily winking in the direction of the Arsenal supporters.

The bottle-throwing incident involving De Bruyne got fans online talking.

One Twitter user wrote: "Irony of Arsenal fans throwing bottles at De Bruyne whilst their players start to bottle the league!"

A second tweeted: "Someone spent about £13 on a bottle of prime to lob it at De Bruyne they’ve lost their heads."

A third added: "De Bruyne gets a bottle of Prime “ice pop” thrown at him. Surprised there wasn’t a pitch invasion to grab it."

A fourth said: "Some sh*t stain just threw a bottle at De Bruyne.... totally uncalled for."

A fifth commented: "Looool, De Bruyne on demon time, brother winked at arsenal fans after having a prime bottle thrown at him."

Another joked: "Been to Wakey wines spent £1000 on a bottle of Prime to throw and miss De Bruyne with it!"

De Bruyne had the last laugh as his side leave London with all three points and climb above Arsenal in the league.
