Cristiano Ronaldo's Sister Reacts To VAR Disallowing Her Brother's Injury Time Goal For Juventus Vs Udinese

Cristiano Ronaldo's Sister Reacts To VAR Disallowing Her Brother's Injury Time Goal For Juventus Vs Udinese

Following VAR's decision to rule Cristiano Ronaldo offside, Elma dos Santos Aveiro didn't hold back in her post on Instagram Stories.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister has claimed her brother was ‘robbed’ after his potential winner for Juventus against Udinese was ruled offside by VAR.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner reportedly asked to start Sunday’s Serie A match on the bench amid speculation surrounding his Juventus future.

Paulo Dybala fired Juventus into an early lead at the Stadio Friuli before Juan Cuadrado doubled his side’s lead before half-time.

However, Udinese fought back in the second half as Roberto Pereyra converted from the spot-kick and Gerard Deulofeu pulled the scoreline level in the 83rd minute.

Ronaldo came off the bench and replaced Alvaro Morata after half-time, with the Juventus superstar almost sealing all three points for his side.

The 36-year-old Portuguese forward connected with Federico Chiesa’s cross in injury time and fired a trademark header past Marco Silvestri.

Elma dos Santos Aveiro has now taken to social media to blast the decision to rule out Ronaldo’s header against Udinese.

Ronaldo’s sister posted a photo of the offside decision on Instagram Stories and wrote: “Had you had my shoulder, you would have been onside.

“You need to replace the large size with medium.”

She added: “The robbery begins.”

Ronaldo was booked by the referee for taking his shirt off during his celebration, with Juventus walking away with a point from the Udinese match.

Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved has insisted that the former Real Madrid star will not leave the Old Lady this summer.

“We mustn’t try to create sensational stories where there aren’t any,” he told DAZN.

“It was a decision shared with the player. At the start of the season, naturally he is not at top fitness. The coach is trying to use the best line-up at this moment, for example Giorgio Chiellini is also on the bench today.

“The decisions were made to be most competitive today. I can absolutely confirm Ronaldo will remain at Juventus this season.”
