The Portuguese introduced his new celebration against Everton on Sunday.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s new celebration has already been copied by a Benfica youth player.

The Portuguese legend introduced his new celebration after he scored the winner during Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Everton on Sunday evening.

Ronaldo shied away from his usual ‘Siuu’ celebration and instead went to the corner flag with his eyes closed and his fingers crossed in front of his chest. He was later joined by United’s summer signing, Antony who copied Ronaldo’s celebration.

It was revealed by United’s official website that Ronaldo’s new celebration was a ‘self-deprecating joke with his fellow teammates, highlighting the strong bonds among the players in Erik ten Hag’s squad.’

It was believed to be a tribute to Ronaldo’s sleeping position when he travels with the squad.

We have seen many players copy Ronaldo’s ‘Siuu’ celebration, and now, a youth player from Benfica has copied the 37-year-old’s latest celebration.

Benfica were in action against Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday afternoon in the UEFA Youth League.

18-year-old Diego Moreira scored to make it 2-1 to the Portuguese outfit and decided to bring out Ronaldo’s new celebration. You can watch the footage below.

The game ended 3-2 with Benfica picking up a vital win in their bid to get through to the next stage of the competition.

Ronaldo’s goal against Everton was the 700th club goal of his stellar career.

After the match, manager Ten Hag said: “That is really impressive when you score 700 goals.

“It's a huge performance, I'm really happy for him. I congratulate him on that performance and I'm also happy it's his first goal this season in the Premier League - he had to wait for it and I'm sure there will be more goals.

He added: “I think every player needs it, even when you are the best in the world, you need it, you need the goals.

“And I worked with many goalscorers, especially them, they need goals in every season to have that feeling, to have the confirmation of the intuition. And once they have some goals, they come in the flow and games go easier. That will happen with him as well.”

United are next in action on Thursday as they host Omonia Nicosia at Old Trafford.
