Al Nassr manager Rudi Garcia 'close to being sacked' amid reports of rift with Cristiano Ronaldo

Al Nassr manager Rudi Garcia is said to be one game away from being given the boot.

Al Nassr manager Rudi Garcia is said to be on the verge of being sacked by the club amid reports of a rift with Cristiano Ronaldo and a poor relationship with his squad.

The former Roma, Marseille and Lyon boss was hired by the Saudi Pro League outfit in June but is set to leave his position after less than a year.

Al Nassr are still only three points behind league leaders Al Ittihad but their last outing was a dire 0-0 draw with Al Feiha, which led to Garcia reportedly laying into his players in the dressing room, as per MARCA.

He told the media he was not "satisfied" with the way his side played, commenting: "The result is really bad, and we are not h“I am not satisfied with the performance of the players. I asked them to play at the same level as the last game but that didn't happen.”

But the club are believed to feel the same way about Garcia's performance since he replaced Miguel Angel Russo.

The news has not been made official by the club but many outlets are reporting that Garcia has already been given the boot.

Ronaldo joined the club on a free transfer in December and was immediately handed the captaincy after a £175-million-a-year switch.

His frustrations have been clear though and a recent strop saw him storm down the tunnel and claim that opposition players "don't want to play".

There have been reports in the Saudi media that Ronaldo has been critical of Garcia's tactics behind the scenes and feels the Frenchman is holding the team back from realising their potential.
