Chelsea want to get rid of summer signing after zero minutes, Hakim Ziyech also facing the chop

Chelsea want to get rid of summer signing after zero minutes, Hakim Ziyech also facing the chop

The player will not be able to play for another team this season due to FIFA rules.

Chelsea already want to offload one of their summer signings without him playing a single minute for the club.

In one of many deals completed in a busy first window under new owner Todd Boehly, the Blues signed Denis Zakaria on loan from Juventus.

An option to buy was included in the deadline day deal but the chances of that being exercised look very slim.

Zakaria, who was handed the No.20 shirt vacated by Callum Hudson-Odoi, is yet to make his debut for the Blues.

He hasn't been included in a single Premier League matchday squad, with youngster Carney Chukwuemeka ahead of him in the pecking order.

And according to 90 Min, as per BBC, Chelsea are looking to terminate the loan in January as he is not part of Graham Potter's plans.

They are hopeful that under-pressure Juve boss Max Allegri gets the boot and that the next Bianconeri boss will see a spot for him.

However, in the event that he does not head back to Turin, Zakaria could be left in complete limbo due to FIFA regulations.

If he plays a minute for Chelsea, he will not be able to play for a third team this season as two teams is the maximum amount allowed.

Swiss international Zakaria featured twice for Juventus in games against Roma and Sassuolo prior to joining Chelsea.

The report also adds that Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech after he fell out of favour at Stamford Bridge.

In the summer window, former club Ajax and Manchester United were both linked with Ziyech but he stayed in west London.

AC Milan, Chelsea's most recent opponents, are also believed to be an interested party and Boehly wants a permanent transfer to be thrashed out.
