Reece James’ personal coach deletes post raging at Chelsea, hints there is trouble at the club

Reece James’ personal coach deletes post raging at Chelsea, hints there is trouble at the club

James suffered an injury during Chelsea’s match against Bournemouth

Reece James’ personal trainer, James Ralph has deleted a social media post slamming Chelsea after the Blues’ victory against Bournemouth.

Graham Potter’s side sealed a 2-0 victory over the Cherries on their return to Premier League football thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Mason Mount.

Chelsea's victory was marred by an injury to James. Having suffered a knee injury in October which ruled him out of the 2022 World Cup, James was hoping to kick on for the remainder of this season.

However, his return to competitive action was cut short as he was replaced in the 53rd minute by Cesar Azpilicueta after suffering an injury.

James’ personal trainer vented his frustrations on social media as he posted three frustrating emojis with a message that read: “I need to bite my tongue despite having a LOT to say.”

The cryptic message from Ralph has led to many wondering if there is trouble brewing at Stamford Bridge.

James himself posted a message on Instagram on Wednesday, he wrote: “2022 has been the toughest year to date. I just wanted to thank you all for the support this year, none of it has gone unnoticed.

“It’s naturally effected me mentally, but life is about dealing with the hand you’ve been dealt and that’s what I’m currently tryna do.

“I hope your end of year is filled with peace, joy and happiness. Love you all, catch you next year.”

After the match, manager Potter was equally frustrated by James’ setback and hinted it could be a similar injury to the one he suffered in October.

He said: “It's obviously the same area, so we are concerned. We will have to wait for the next 24-48 hours.

“There was a sort of chop and he felt something there. We will have to see the extent of it. At the moment we are just at a stage of hoping it isn't as bad and keeping our fingers crossed.

“The plan was not for him to play 90 tonight. He was going to play 60-65 minutes which was a build-up to what he did previously.

“He's disappointed, of course, at the moment. We just have to hope it's not as bad as it was, and he can get a speedier recovery”

Chelsea’s next match will be against Nottingham Forest on New Year’s Day.
