Mykhailo Mudryk is "not in a good mood" after signing for Chelsea in January, according to Shakhtar Donetsk chief Darijo Srna.

The 22-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge in a deal worth around £89million last month, snubbing Arsenal in the process.

However, the Ukranian has had a difficult start to life in west London, failing to manage a single goal or assist since joining the Blues.

That being said, Chelsea have been far from prolific in front of goal, only scoring once in their last five matches.

Mudryk 'not in a good mood'

Srna has since revealed that the winger is struggling at Chelsea, but insisted "he has all the qualities to be one of the best players in the Premier League."

He told Football Ramble: "The market decided the price, not me or our president. Mudryk is one of the best players in Europe in his position after Mbappe or Vinicius then it’s Mudryk.

"If someone wants to buy a player from Shakhtar they must respect us. We know how to sell players and how to buy players. He’s from our academy, an amazing kid, an amazing player.

"Unfortunately, at Chelsea now he's not in a good mood, Mykhaylo as well, but he has all the qualities to be one of the best players in the Premier League in the next couple of years."

Srna also made the tongue-in-cheek claim that Shakhtar could re-sign Mudryk from Chelsea, stating: "It's no problem, we will buy him back after the war. We will buy him back after the war."

He also disclosed that it was Mudryk's personal decision to join Chelsea over Arsenal.

"The price was €100m, €70m+30m. Arsenal was fully loving Mudryk but Chelsea showed they were more concrete & ready to buy him. With respect to Arsenal, at the end of the day it was the decision of Misha [Mudryk]," he added.
