'He Gets Away With Murder!': Fans Stunned After Casemiro Avoids First-Half Booking Against Manchester City

'He Gets Away With Murder!': Fans Stunned After Casemiro Avoids First-Half Booking Against Manchester City

Casemiro somehow managed to avoid a yellow card.

Manchester City supporters were left stunned after Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro somehow managed to avoid a booking in the first half of their Champions League semi-final second leg at the Bernabeu.

City travelled to Spain with a narrow 4-3 lead from the first leg at the Etihad.

While last week's match was packed full of action, the first half of Wednesday's second leg was a much cagier affair.

The key moment of the half came early on when Casemiro brought down Kevin De Bruyne with a scissor challenge from behind.

It looked to be a clear booking but Italian referee Daniele Orsato opted to keep his cards in his pocket.

City's players furiously protested the decision which caused an altercation between Aymeric Laporte and Luka Modric, which resulted in both players being booked.

Later in the half Casemiro dragged down Phil Foden after being beaten by the England international.

But again Orsato opted not to book the Brazilian to the disbelief of Manchester City fans on social media.

"No idea how Casemiro didn’t get booked in that first half. Getting away with murder here," wrote one fan on Twitter.

Another fan added: "I know it's a running joke but it still genuinely amazes me how often Casemiro gets away with not being booked."

A third posted: "I hate how Casemiro gets away with everything."

Should Casemiro have been sent off in the first half? Let us know your thoughts.
