Oleksandr Zinchenko is set to miss Arsenal's clash against West Ham with a groin issue, according to Jordan Campbell of The Athletic.

The left-back suffered a groin injury during the Gunners' 2-2 draw against Liverpool last weekend, and the problem is yet to be resolved.

While the issue is not expected to keep the 26-year-old out for long, Mikel Arteta will be without the defender for Sunday's trip to The London Stadium.

The report states that he could return against Southampton on Friday, but Arteta has chosen to protect him ahead of Arsenal's crucial clash against Manchester city later in the month.

Kieran Tierney is expected to step up in his place, with the Scotland international struggling for game time this season.

Arteta recently provided an update on the fitness of William Saliba, who will not be available for Sunday's contest.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Spaniard said: “William is still not available. He’s progressing well and we are hopeful we’ll have him available in the next few weeks, but we’ll have to see.”
