Arsenal star Ben White taunts Tottenham fans after being substituted in the north London derby

Ben White wound up the Spurs fans after being taken off late in the game.

Arsenal defender Ben White channelled his inner Theo Walcott by taunting Tottenham's supporters while being substituted in Saturday's north London derby. Watch the video below:

Arsenal strengthened their position at the top of the Premier League with a 3-1 win over their bitter rivals at the Emirates.

Goals from Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka secured Arsenal a deserved win against Spurs, who were reduced to 10 men in the second half after Emerson Royal was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal's White had another impressive afternoon at right-back before being substituted late on for Takehiro Tomiyasu.

After leaving the pitch, White walked past the away end housing the Tottenham supporters.

While many Spurs fans had left the stadium by that point, a few remained.

In a clip circulating on social media, White can be seen staring at the away supporters.

He then appears to gesture the score to the Spurs fans, to the delight of the home support.

It evoked memories of Walcott's famous 'two-nil' celebration in the north London derby in 2014, when he signalled the score to the Tottenham fans while he was being taken from the field on a stretcher.

Arsenal supporters were quick to praise White after full-time.

"Big fan of Ben White mate, he's been sublime this season," wrote one fan on Twitter.

While another added: "Special shout out to Ben White. Been putting on solid performances now for the second season running now."

Victory for Arsenal sees them move four points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, with Pep Guardiola's side facing rivals Manchester United at the Etihad on Sunday.

Arsenal next face Bodo Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday, while Spurs return to Champions League action against Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday.
