When it came to the former Barça manager's 2011 side, however, it was on a whole different level.
The Spanish club arrived at Wembley Stadium to take on Manchester United in the Champions League final.
And before the match, Barcelona showed off an unreal warm-up session of rondo. If United players were watching them, then no-one can blame them for feeling a little bit on edge before the match.
Barcelona put on a superb display against United during the match, as Pedro opened the scoring before Wayne Rooney fired back with an equaliser.
Lionel Messi added a fantastic second and David Villa put United fans -- and their players -- out of their misery with a third.
After the final, former Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson called Guardiola's Barça side "the best team I have faced."
Sir Alex Ferguson, when asked which team was the closest to the Dream Team label, he said: "The one that had made the biggest impression on me is the Barcelona we faced at Wembley, with United, in the 2011 Champions League final. They were unplayable” @francefootball #FCB 👥⚡️— Reshad Rahman ✆ (@ReshadRahman_) December 15, 2020
After losing the Champions League final to Barcelona back in 2011, Sir Alex Ferguson was asked who he would sign from Barcelona if he had a blank cheque.— Simply Barca 💫 (@SiempreFrenkie) November 16, 2020
The answer wasn’t Messi btw. 😂 pic.twitter.com/pwE1J6VlEV
Ferguson added: "Nobody's given us a hiding like that, but they deserve it.
"They play the right way and they enjoy their football. They do mesmerise you with their passing and we never really did control Messi. But many people have said that."
Was Guardiola's 2011 Barça side the best team in the club's history?
