Man City head to the Midlands to face Aston Villa. Here's how you can watch or stream the game.

Defending Premier League Champions Manchester City head down to the Midlands this evening to face an Aston Villa side that will be hoping to put an end to their recent run of bad form.

Fans of the visitors will be pleased at their side’s defence of the title so far, with City picking up 13 points from a possible 15 across the first five games of the season.

Their recent 6-0 thrashing of newly promoted Nottingham Forest showed the strength of the Champions’ summer additions. Julian Alvarez netted two in the second half and Erling Haaland scored a stunning 38 minute hattrick that takes him up to a ridiculous 9 goals already this campaign.

Despite still being two points off league leaders Arsenal, Pep Guardiola’s side have shown they should still be considered favourites to win the title.

Aston Villa’s start to the season has been a different story, and Steven Gerrard’s side sit in 15th place heading into this evening’s clash after only picking up a single win so far this season, despite spending close to £50 million in the transfer market.

Here's everything you ned to know about the game.

Aston Villa vs Man City Team News:

Although Villa left the Emirates without any points on Wednesday night, Steven Gerrard will still be happy he escaped North London with no new injury concerns.

But the boys in claret and blue will still be without their big money summer signing Diego Carlos, who is set to miss a large chunk of the season due to an achilles injury.

Even though City were able to dismantle Forest without the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Jack Grealish, Nathan Ake and Kalvin Phillips, Guardiola will still be hoping some of his star men will return in time for this evening’s clash.
