The Premier League title race between Arsenal and Manchester City looks set to go right down to the wire this season.

Arsenal have exceeded expectations to carve out a four-point lead over City at the top of the table, having played one game more than their rivals.

The Gunners are looking to win their first league title since the 2003-04 season, while City are hoping to be crowned champions for the third successive campaign.

Pep Guardiola's men are also through to the semi-finals of the Champions League and FA Cup, and could become only the second team to win the treble after Sir Alex Ferguson's legendary Manchester United team in 1998-99.

Arsenal next face Southampton in the Premier League on Friday and can open up a seven-point lead over City, who face Sheffield United in their FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.

Arsenal will then face City at the Etihad on Wednesday in a match which could have a massive impact on the destination of the title.

Antonio reveals Arsenal concerns

West Ham striker Michail Antonio believes the pressure of the title race could be getting to Arsenal's players, after speaking with an unnamed source at the north London club.

"I heard this from someone that works at Arsenal. All season they've been concentrating on themselves, just playing how they play. They've been playing so well," he told The Footballer's Football Podcast.

"But last week, when they drew with Liverpool, and City got that bit closer, it was the first time all season that this person – I'm not going to say who the person is – heard players start talking about City and how well City have been playing.

"So they are definitely feeling the pressure from City chasing them."

Speaking ahead of the Southampton match, Arteta insisted Arsenal's only focus is on the Saints and not Manchester City.

"Nobody is talking about what is going to happen next Wednesday," he said.

"We have to become really boring to everybody and be very repetitive, and just focus on what we have to do this morning, and that's it."
