Eduardo Camavinga's agent has set the record straight on his future following reports linking the Real Madrid midfielder with a move to the Premier League.

Camavinga, 20, joined the Spanish giants from Rennes in the summer of 2021 and went on to make 40 appearances in all competitions in his debut season at the Bernabeu, winning both the Champions League and La Liga.

He has continued his development this season, making 47 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid.

Reports in Spain claim that Manchester United are interested in signing Camavinga this summer.

One report from Fichajes has even claimed United would be willing to pay a club-record fee to sign the France international.

It follows reports that Arsenal attempted to sign Camavinga on loan in the January transfer window.

At the time, the midfielder was struggling for regular minutes under Carlo Ancelotti and was being linked with a short-term move away from the Bernabeu.

Camavinga's agent rubbishes Arsenal reports

Camavinga's agent Jonathan Barnett says there was no truth in the rumours that Arsenal tried to sign Camavinga and insists the player wants to remain at Madrid for the rest of his career.

"That was garbage, it is something that was not going to happen," Barnett told GOAL.

"He has never thought about playing for another team and Real Madrid would not have let him leave.

"He is going to be one of the stars of Real Madrid in the future, so for what to leave. It was all rubbish."

When asked if he has discussed the possibility of a new deal for Camavinga with Madrid, Barnett added: "I never talk about contracts.

"I think we'll talk about it with the club at the right time. He wants to be a Real Madrid player and wear the white shirt for the rest of his life.

"There won't be any problem with Real Madrid, we'll sit down and I'm sure that we will come to an agreement."
