Ben White was asked his favourite part of a footballer's daily routine, Leandro Trossard's reaction spoke volumes

Ben White and Leandro Trossard shared a hilarious moment

Ben White's awkward relationship with football has been brought into the limelight with footage of him discussing his favourite part of the day convincing fans of his difficulty in engaging with the sport.

Since signing for Arsenal from Brighton and Hove Albion in a deal worth £50 million in the summer of 2021, White has developed into one of Mikel Arteta’s regulars.

The 26-year-old has gone from strength to strength for the Gunners but made headlines this week after it was revealed he did not want to be called up by Gareth Southgate for England's upcoming games.

Despite being a star player in one of the biggest teams in the world, some fans are convinced White doesn’t actually like football. You can watch the footage below.

White, along with Belgian star Trossard was being asked what their favourite part of the day was.

The presenter asked: “What is the favourite part of your day?”

Trossard joked: “When he is back home from training.”

White went on to say: “Probably training, not all the stuff before.”

At this moment, Trossard’s face was a picture as he reacted to White’s answer.

Fans were quick to react on social media.

One said: “Trossard knows White hates football.”

Another tweeted: “Trossard said "bro, be for real.”

A third fan added: “Don't say that on camera? He clearly hates football.”

Someone else wrote: “Tried hard to find that politically correct answer.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Trossard face hahaha.”

Previously, White was asked about Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira and watching football when he was younger, he said: “No I never watched football when I was younger, still don't now. I just loved the game, I was always playing it - never watching it. So I don't know too much about older generations.

“I know [Vieira] was a very good player. But I wouldn't know the details. I'm quite busy, I'm always doing something. I watch myself for analytical reasons. I watch England, maybe. I just wouldn't just sit down and watch a game.”

While he may watch England's upcoming games, he won't be featuring. However, he will most likely play a crucial part in Arsenal's attempt to win the Premier League title for the first time in twenty years.
